Art, brushes & templates, shared by Shelly artists
Every piece carries the licence its artist chose — free, with credit, non-commercial, Ripple only, as-is, or just to look at. The guide below explains each one.
Opening the Commons…
Where is it?
Share your own in three steps
- Pick what to share. Select a sticker, frame or doodle (or nothing, for the whole artboard). You can also share a whole design as a template, or a brush from the Brush Maker.
- Choose File ▸ Share to the Commons… (or the Commons button at the top). Give it a title, a line about it and a few tags.
- Choose a licence and tick the box to say you made it or may share it. It appears for everyone straight away, and you can change the licence, hide it or remove it whenever you like.
The six licences
Not sure? Free with credit is the friendliest choice for most art. Pick Personal & non-commercial if you don't want it on things people sell, and Look, don't use for portfolio pieces.
Credit, done for you
When you use a Commons piece, Shelly remembers who made it and under which licence. The Export window lists the credits ready to copy, Post to Ripple adds them to your caption, and Pexels photos and art you may not re-share are left out of templates automatically.
Limits & safety
Shelly Free shares up to 12 pieces; Shelly+ (with Ripple Extra) shares up to 200. Three reports from different people hold a piece until a moderator looks. Removing a piece deletes its files; designs that already used it keep their own copy under the licence they took it with.
